Power Quality Improvement by UPQC using Intelligent Controllers - A Review

Abstract:
In this paper presents a power quality improvement of Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) to compensate the power system problems of sensitive loads. Conventional power quality mitigation equipment is providing to be inadequate for an increasing number of applications, instead of conventional equipment one modern and very powerful solution that deals with both load current and supply voltage imperfections is the Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC). This is intended to present a broad review on the different possible intelligent controllers used with UPQC. Computer simulation by MATLAB/ SIMULINK has been used to compare the performance of different intelligent controllers.
